Canton Twp. OK's emergency management change

A change has taken place in the emergency management staff in Canton Township.

During the township supervisors' regular monthly meeting this week, Canton Township Emergency Management Coordinator J. Scott May stepped down from the lead position to an assistant position for emergency management in the township. Ray Miller will assume the lead position formerly held by May. Both attended the meeting with May introducing Miller to the supervisors. Supervisors have approved the change.

May became fire chief of the Canton Volunteer Fire Department recently, which was the reason for turning the township position over to Miller. May acknowledged Miller's amount of training in citing his qualifications for the job.
