Street sweeping schedule announced in Canton
Canton Borough asks its residents for their cooperation the week of April 29 while the borough street department sweeps the borough streets.
According to a news release, the streets will be swept following the schedule below, weather permitting. Residents are asked to please assist the borough by removing their vehicles from any parking areas on the side of the streets during these times in order for a more efficient street sweeping process.
Here is the schedule:
April 29-30 - east of Center Street and south of Main Street
April 30 - east of Center Street and north of Main Street
May 1-2 - west of Center Street and north of Main Street
May 2 - west of Center Street and south of Main Street
May 3 - Main Street and North Center Street

Spring concert to be presented in Troy
The Troy Area High School Concert Band and "Serenaders" Jazz Band will present their annual Spring Concert at 7 p.m. today, April 30 in the Memorial Auditorium at the Troy Junior-Senior High School.
According to a news release:
The Jazz Band will open the concert with a lively collection of swing and rock tunes, and will feature many of the talented soloists in the ensemble. The Concert Band will conclude the concert with works by Alfred Reed, John Phillip Sousa, as well as theme music from the film "Gettysburg". Admission is free to the public. Donations will be gladly accepted at the door. Please come to hear this program of excellent instrumental music and to support these great students in our community.
