Wyalusing-New Albany Road bridge replacement starts March 22

Work will begin on Monday, March 22, on the project to replace the bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad property/Lehigh Railway on Wyalusing-New Albany Road in Wyalusing Township, according to a press release from PennDOT.

The release continues:

This project also includes work to install a traffic light at the intersection of U.S. 6 and state Route 2010, and to replace the parapets on the structure between the Susquehanna River and the Wyalusing High School.

Numerous traffic shifts will be required. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers as needed and also by temporary traffic lights.

Susquehanna Valley Construction, New Cumberland, Pa., is the prime contractor on this $3,436,000 project.

All work is expected to be completed by the end of November.
