Thanks, Gary

EDITOR: This letter is to thank former Ridgebury Township Supervisor, Gary Wood, for all the time and effort he put in to making our dream of a community park a reality. I know he had a good committee and plenty of volunteer labor to help accomplish this, but it still takes someone to go ahead with a project like this. He spent many hours with paper work and phone calls, and now we have a park next to our Little League field that we can be proud of.

There seems to be a certain group of people in our community who do not agree with me. That's OK, you are entitled to your opinion, just the same as I am. But I feel that your actions and comments at the last township meeting of the year were degrading and disgusting. Gary was elected to this position for two terms, and as such he deserves a little respect and common decency, and although you do not like him, in my book, that is no excuse for your actions.

Do you remember the Golden Rule? How would you like to be treated, in the same manner which you treated Gary?

Also I understand that someone has stated that they drove by the park several times each day last summer and there was never anyone at the park. I wonder if they needed an eye exam, since I live where I can see the park, and every good day last summer there were people enjoying the park, children at the playground and others either playing games or just relaxing.

The loud, obnoxious, few, will always want to believe they speak for the majority of residents. Perhaps, if you spread the word, the next meeting could be standing room only, on behalf of Mr.Wood, and the rest of the council. The bullies of this world don't stand down, until the rest of us stand up, and say we have had enough.
