For Uncle Bill Cronk

EDITOR: I want to take the time to thank those people at the Bradford County Manor who were there when my Uncle Bill passed away. My mother, Joyce, was called early in the evening and told Uncle Bill may not last the night and he was asking for her. When Mom arrived one of the aides was sitting with Uncle Bill, holding his hand. She told Mom he knew that he was dying and didn't want to be alone so she was there waiting till Mom arrived.

Around 11 p.m. I had gotten a call from my Aunt Bonnie in Virginia that Mom was at the Manor and she was worried about Mom having to be there by herself. I went to the Manor and sat there with Uncle Bill and Mom. Some time around 12:30, I believe, Uncle Bill passed away.

The women at the Manor (I don't know their names but they know who they are) were so gracious to Mom and me from the time I arrived until we left. I understand they were there for Mom earlier in the evening as well. They came in often asking if there was anything they could do or get for us. Making sure to tell us just to call them anytime.

Once Uncle Bill passed away they were so warm and accommodating! Certainly beyond what I would ever had expected. They hugged us and comforted the two of us each time they came in the room. We stayed there with Uncle Bill for over an hour. We were told to stay as long as we needed and informed us since no one else was coming in to see Uncle Bill they would wait until we left to call the funeral director to come and get his body. Again, thank you for being so loving, kind and patient with us at such a sad time in our lives. May God bless you all.

EDITOR: I want to thank Duane Campbell for responding to Michael Dugan's rabid Letter to the Editor. First of all, Fox News forces the other networks to address stories which they would never even cover. Debate is good. Apparently Mr. Dugan does not think so. When Mr. Dugan mentioned a political contribution of a million dollars by Fox, I had to laugh. Leftist George Soros donated $24.5 million to unsuccessful anti-Bush groups and $15 million to lobby for the McCain Feingold bill to restrict political free speech. Such a bill allowed our controlled media to brainwash us day in and day out without rebuttal. Our newspapers use to be independent and was a glorious gift to the citizens of this nation. Now many of them are owned by companies who also own radio and TV stations. This means that if a newspaper is getting too close to the truth, the government can have the FCC lean on the parent company to get the particular newspaper under control. This, Mr. Dugan, is a far greater threat to a "free" America than Fox News.
