Gas rush-road rage

EDITOR: I realize that a lot of people are benefitting from the natural gas drilling and I'm sure it is appreciated. But along with this (which was expected) a lot more traffic not matter where you go or when you go. There seems to be a lot of aggressive driving (more than normal) people passing in dangerous locations, tailgating and speeding. It's crazy out there!

I was at the Pantry in Burlington recently and observed two tractor-trailers traveling dangerously close together that had to be going at least 55-60 mph right through town. These trucks were gas-related, but they're not the only ones.

Hopefully this gets under control before a tragedy happens.

My wife drives all over a four county area for her job. She says she can now count on always being late because of the trucks. So they're not all driving too fast. And if you don't like it now, wait until there are five times as many as there are now.

I agree they may drive abit fast but what about us people who pull out in front of them (they cant stop on a dime) tailgate them (remember if you cant see their mirrors they cant see you) running them off the road cuz we dont want them here stuff like this happens to them everyday but only the bad stuff about gas gets talked about if they werent here where would bradford county be alot of business' out of business. We are used to being a small town but in life there are always changes and this is one.How many non related gas accidents are there of people going to fast? i dont think its all Gas People!!!

WAKE UP!!! The real world is coming to Bradford County. It can't be stopped and the benefits to many will, be far greater than the loss to a few. Remember you can always move to Potter County.

Too late, Gerald. Not two hundred yards from where you saw this, we have now lost a truck driver who was going too fast. Tragedy, that he just happened to do this when the water was so high. Any other day and he just would have gotten his feet wet.
