TOWANDA HIGH SCHOOL RIFLE CLUB:

Will begin its season through May 3 from 5:30-6:45 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays. Students in 7-12th grades interested in target shooting should attend the first practice at the Towanda Rifle and Pistol Club's indoor range behind the American Legion Post 42 on South Main Street in Towanda. Permission slips may be obtained at the high school office or at the meeting. Eligible participants include students living in the Towanda Area School District who are enrolled at the Towanda Junior-Senior High School, are home-schooled or enrolled in a cyber charter school. TRI-ATHALON'S EVERY WEEK:

With pool, darts and pitch will be held every Wednesday for 10 weeks at Our Place Tavern in Monroeton. The cost is $2 per night, per person and it starts March 16. Sign-up at 5:30 p.m. and start at six. For more information call 265-9911.

ATHLETES FOR BETTER EDUCATION (AFBE):

Will be holding a regional BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT in the Hazelton, PA area. It will be held May 7-8. There will be seven different age divisions for both boys and girls. They are: 10 & under; 12 & under; 13 & under; 14 & under; 15 & under; 16 & under; 18 & under. Each team will get four games. There are only a limited number of spots available in each division, so please respond promptly. The deadline is April 22. TROY AREA YOUTH SOCCER:

Beginning April 18 thru May 31 you may register online by going to taysoccer.org After May 31 a late fee will apply. Please remember that your registration is not complete until your payment is received. TAYS welcomes all children ages 5-14, a age group will be determined by the age of the player as of August 1. The cost this year will be $30 for a single player and $25 for each additional player. The Fitzwater Scholarship Fund is available for your child if you do not have the finances for your child to play. Towanda Area Youth Soccer will be holding registration on Friday, May 6, from 5-8 p.m. next to the downtown Citizens & Northern Bank. Registration will also be held at the Towanda High School on Friday, May 13 from 5-8 p.m. and on Saturday, May 14 from 10 a.m. until noon. Teams are forming for boys & girls age 4-14. THE TOWANDA COUNTRY CLUB PRESIDENT'S CUP:

Will be held on May 14 and 15. The format will be match play/better ball of partners, with 27 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday. The tournament is $75 for members and $125 for non-members and is limited to 48 teams. To sign-up call the TCC pro shop at 570-265-6939.
