Athens' Custom Rebuilders split over the weekend with NEB, falling the first game 4-1 then winning the second 4-3.

NEB's Brian Horton went the distance in the first game, striking out six while scattering four hits. Horton and Nik Geiser had the two hits.

Riley Fralick started for Athens, going two innings with five strikeouts. Relievers Jake Goodrich, Jake Aquilio and Nick Hudock combined the next three innings, striking out one.

Tyler Forbes had a double for Athens while Fralick, Jarett Priester and Hudock also had hits. Fralick added an RBI.

The Custom Rebuilders team bounced back to top NEB in the second game behind starting pitcher Jarett Priester who worked four innings with three strikeouts. Priester also laced a double and drove in three RBIs. Nick Hall who played the "closer" role for Athens in the 2nd game came on in the 5th and punched out two of the three batters he faced. Hall also hit a single. Athens also got offensive support from Nick Hudock's RBI single and singles from Jake Goodrich and Eddie Dailey.

Geiser five innings for NEB, striking out three.

Tyler Emrick, Garett Smith and Nate Chilson had two hits each to lead NEB.
