Athens Juniors Custom Rebuilders team adds two to the win column topping IRFCU and Sayre recently.

Custom Rebuilders started off well with two base hits from their number 1 and number 2 hitters Braden Priester and Daniel Joyce, but IRFCU tallied four runs in their first at-bats and added another run in the second to jump out to a quick 5-1. Singles from Marc Felt and Andy Watkins ignited the Rebuilders offense in the third plating three runs and narrowing the gap 5-4. The Rebuilders took the lead 8-5 by staying hot at the plate and adding four more runs in the fourth behind singles from Nick Hudock and Anthony Peterson plus another single from Felt. IRFCU secured two more runs in the top of the fifth with a stand-up double from Luke Newman and a single from Kalen Keathley, but the Rebuilders team kept the margin with a single from Daniel Joyce and another shot from Felt - his third knock of the day. IRFCU also got two singles from Gavin Stein who scored twice.

Luke Newman had two hits, including a double, while Stein also had two hits. Newman, Matt Collins and Kalen Keathley combined for 13 strikeouts.

Athens Custom Rebuilders downed Sayre 7-4 behind a trio of Rebuilders hurlers. Starter Caden Williams and relievers Marc Felt and Daniel Joyce scattered six Sayre hits over six-innings of work to lockdown the win for the Rebuilders team. The Rebuilders offense was lead by Braden Priester with a single and 3-RBIs plus singles from Anthony Peterson with 1-RBI and base knocks from Caden Williams, Andy Watkinsand Austin Robert. Sayre's Hanafin slugged two singles for the Redskins. Sayre also got singles from Wheeler, Ingrassia, Ray and Murelle.

Custom Rebuilders is back in action next Sunday for a double-header at AAHS field vs. the Vulcraft and the IRFCU teams starting at 2 p.m.
