Joe Bell scored a game-high 26 points but Gannon hit five 3-pointers late in the second half to pull away for a 83-57 win over Mansfield in a PSAC crossover contest Tuesday night at the Hammermill Center.

Mansfield jumped out to a 8-4 lead four minutes into the game keyed by pair of 3-pointers by Onyema Utti. The Mountaineers led 16-13 on a pair of free throws by Brady Burke midway through the first half.

But Gannon would use long-range shooting and controlled the offensive glass to build a 39-30 advantage at halftime.

Mansfield trailed 49-40 six minutes into the second half, but the Mountaineers could pull no closer.

Gannon put the game away late hitting four straight 3-pointers, three of them by Adam Blazek.

Gannon controlled the boards pulling down 40 rebounds to Mansfield's 17 and held a 17-4 advantage on the offensive glass. The Golden Knights connected on 10-of-17 3-point attempts.

Bell went 9-14 from the floor and hit 8-9 of his free throw attempts to score his 26 points. It marks the third time this season the junior has scored 25 points or more in a game and gives him 1076 points in his career to move past Damar Lopez (1064 points, 1998-02) into 21st on the all-time career scoring list.

Utti connected on four 3-pointers in scoring a season-high 17 points with Charles Pemberton adding 10 points. The trio hit all 19 field goals for the Mountaineers and went 19-of-28 from the floor. The rest of the team went 0-19 from the floor.

Gannon had four players in double-figures led by Blazek with 23 points. Tee Talley scored 18 points including 17 in the first half.
