MANSFIELD - The Bradford County Bobcats went 0-2 on Sunday to take fourth at the Mansfield University baseball tournament.

In the opener on Sunday the Bobcats dropped a tough 5-4 game to Brookville.

Athens' Tyler Forbes, Canton'sJohn Bowman and Notre Dame's Parker May, of Ridgebury, all pitched for the Bobcats, striking out three in the game.

At the plate May had a home run and was 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI.

Trevor Route of Canton scored a run and Zane Vargason of Athens had a hit and a run scored.

CV's Tyler Melko had two hits and two RBI and Canton's Chase pepper had an RBI, while Luke Newman of Athens had a hit.

In the second game Sunday the Bobcats fell to Micflin County 5-2.

May, Melko and Nick Vosburg of Athens all pitched.

Holdan Hitchcock of Wyalusing had a hit and scored a run and May had two hits.

Melko had an RBI and Casey Fenton had two hits and scored a run.

Route had a hit and an RBI and pepper had a hit.

May had a triple, Fenton had two doubles and Pepper had a double.

The Bobcats went 1-3 on the weekend and their win was the second game Saturday when they beat Brookville 4-3.

Pepper pitched for the Bobcats in the win.

Route score a run and May had a 3-for-4 day with a run scored.

Vargason had two hits, with a double, and Newman had a pair of hits, with a double, and a run scored.

Melko had an RBI and Forbes had a hit and a run scored.
