The Bradford County Bobcats split a pair of games during a tournament in Bellefonte on Saturday.

The Bobcats beat Bellefonte Legion 8-0. Towanda's Zach Place threw all six innings, striking out 12 and allowing just one hit and no walks in the shutout.

At the plate Canton's Scott Rockwell had an RBI and scored a run and Matt Reese of Wellsboro scored a run, while Wyalusing's Kye Novak had a hit, an RBI and a run scored.

Towanda's Zack Ripic had two hits, with a double, and he scored two runs and Towanda's Mason Roof scored two runs, while Pierce Rancko of Montoursville had an RBI.

Wellsboro's Ben Shaw had an RBI and Joe Champluvier of Wyalusing had two hits, an RBI and a run scored, while Athens' Craig Moore had a double and two RBI and Athens' Adam McCauley had a hit.

Ripic and Champluvier stole bases.

Against the Hatfield Legion the Bobcats lost 9-0.

Ranck had two hits and Ripic, Place and Shaw all had hits in the game, with Ripic getting a double.

Austin Markel of Towanda started and worked one inning, striking out one, walking one and allowing three hits and two earned runs.

Ranck worked 3 1/3 innings, striking out four, walking one and allowing three hits and five runs, none earned.

McCauley worked 1/3 of an inning, walking three, and Rockwell pitched 1 1/3 innings, allowing two hits and two runs, both earned, with two strikeouts.
