Boys' basketball action continues at Epiphany
Athens led off the long day at the boys' basketball Epiphany tournament Sunday with a win.
The Wildcats won 44-36 behind 12 points from both Ryan Segar and Austin Lister. Brian Tableman led Saints Green with 12 points.
Norwich Purple beat Notre Dame 38-16 behind eight points from Jake Walsh while Jamisen Luke and Rodney Bonham had six points each.
Michael Sterns led Notre Dame with four while Christian Store, Patrick Brown and Kyle Michin had three points a piece.
Mansfield beat Norwich White 64-19 behind 15 from Jordan Williams while JP Shaw added 14. Paden Burlisen led Noriwch with 10.
The CV Warriors beat the TC Hawks 41-36 behind 16 points from Mark Mullins. Nick Ostrum added nine.
Wyalusing defeated Newark Valley 40-17 behind 25 points from Jon Morrison with Ridge Williams adding six.
Chad Wright led Newark with eight.
Vestal downed Hancock 58-15 behind 12 points from Nick Davis. David Schaetter led Hancock with eight.
Stompin Toms edged Gannon Associates 34-32. Tommy Rought led Toms with 14 while Michael Wallitsch added four.
Nick Innocenzo scored 13 for Gannon's while Daniel Wilhelm added six.
SV Sabers toped Tioga Cagers 66-48 behind 30 points from Deondre Basket. Austin Haskell added 22.
Adam Zwierlein led Tioga with 20 while Zach Hutchison scored 18.
Eagles Boosters beat Red Wave 36-23 behind 12 points from Sean Kelly while Brady Harrington added seven.
Peyton Miller scored 16 for the Red Wave while Garret Sutryk netted three.
Ithaca beat Saints Green 53-27 in the final game.
Anthony Henry and Darrel Davis had nine points each for Ithaca while Kevin Shaheen and Greg Olson had six points each for Saints.
