The NTL girls' tennis season kicked off on Wednesday as Bucktail swept a doubleheader from Wellsboro.

Bucktail won the home doubleheader, taking the first match 5-2 and the second 5-0.

In the opener Maria Morgan beat Raisa Rogers 6-4, 6-0 at first singles and Abby Ransom won 6-2, 7-5 over Brianna Quimby at second singles.

Mary Fecteau won 6-1, 6-0 over Bailey Corse at third singles and at fourth singles Alaina Tripp won 6-0, 6-0 over Shyann Foreman and Marissa Coleman won 6-0, 6-2 over Maddy Clemens.

In doubles Rogers and Quimby won 6-0, 6-0 over Bridget Gardener and Coleman and Corse and Foleman won 6-1, 6-1 over Hailey Risley and Tripp.

In the second match Morgan won 6-0, 6-2 over Rogers and Ransom won 6-2, 6-1 over Quimby.

Fecteau won 6-1, 6-2 over Corse and Tripp won 6-1, 6-0 over Foreman, while Coleman won 6-2, 6-0 over Clemens.
