Bucktail made it to the District IV semi-finals in girl's tennis action Tuesday.

In the quarterfinal Bucktail defeated Montgomery 3-2 to advance to the semi-finals. Cowanesque Valley lost in the quarterfinals to Montoursville 4-1.

In the preliminary round Towanda fell to Bloomsburg 5-0 while Liberty lost to Danville 3-0.

For Towanda in first singles Kaitlin Hallabuk lost to Ivy Rose Kramer 6-1, 6-2 while in second singles Carly Chaffee fell to Olivia Fry 6-1, 6-1. In third singles Hannah Innocenzo lost to Lauryn Kinney 6-1, 6-0.

In first doubles action Towanda's duo of Melina Hoffman and Elizabeth Vana lost to Vanessa Michael and Molly Williams 6-0, 6-0 while Knights Kaylyn Forbes and Erica Place fell to Kaitlin Karoffa and Emily Wawroski 6-1, 6-0.

The semi-finals will be on Tuesday at 2 p.m. back at Bloomsburg University.

Wellsboro 7, Williamson 0

In first singles Hornet Ashley Evans beat Kim Tulanowski 6-1, 6-0 while in second singles Taylor Russell defeated Brooke Gottwald 6-1, 6-0.

In third singles Kiana Acorn beat Anna Copp 6-0, 6-2, in fourth singles Brittany Redell won over Danielle Bolt 6-1, 6-1 and in fifth singles Fran Lupkowski defeated Kim Wilbur 6-0, 6-3.

In first doubles Evans and Russell beat Tulanowski and Gottwald 6-3, 6-4 while in second doubles Kaylie Seeley and Brianna Quimby defeated Copp and Bolt 6-1. 7-5.

In exhibition doubles Wellsboro's Shyann Foreman and Raisa Rogers defeated Wilbur and Thea Doty 6-0.
