Canton excited about NTL winning season

At the beginning of the year the Canton Warriors knew they would be one of the top teams in the NTL East and compete for the NTL title.
"I think we could" Becca McMurray said about competing for the title.
"I knew we would do good" Kate Ward added, "We've been building our team for so long."
But Ward knew it wouldn't be easy.
"I had my doubts."
Maybe that's why they were excited to earn the NTL title.
"It feels great" McMurray said,
"I'm so glad we did" Katie Ward added, "I'm so glad to win it senior year."
Part of the reason the players are so excited is because its been a long time coming.
"Its something Canton hasn't done in a while so I think its pretty cool" McMurray said.
For McMurray, the high point of the season was topping the Black Knights at Towanda.
"Beating Towanda the second time" McMurray said, "That was pretty big for us. They had beat us the first time."
Ward had a similar opinion.
"Winning at Towanda and Athens" Ward said, "They were good games."
She, too especially liked beating Towanda.
"That was awesome" Ward added, "on their home court. Everybody was there for Towanda."
Now the girls will be playing for a district title today.
"We can win if we are on every game" Ward said.
McMurray was also confident.
"I think we can" she added, "We've got to take it one game at a time."
If they play like they did during the NTL season, they definitely have a chance of bringing back some hardware.
