Cowanesque Valley picked up another NTL boys' tennis win Friday as they defeated Liberty 6-1.

CV took the first three singles matches.

In first singles Chandler Mastin defeated Andrew Nadas 6-3, 6-2, in second singles Brian Fulmer beat Dakota Alexyn 6-3, 6-3 and in third singles Dean Lee topped Peter Kutbay 6-0, 6-1.

Liberty picked up their lone win at fourth singles as Matt DeLosa beat Patrick Sewell 7-5, 6-3.

CV won again at fifth singles as Cameron Lewis beat Nathaniel Wilston 6-4, 6-3.

In first doubles CV's duo of Mastin and Fulmer beat Nadas and Alexyn 6-3, 7-5 while in second doubles Lee and Sewell topped Liberty's Kutbay and DeLosa 6-2, 6-1.

The Indians improved to 3-1 in the NTL, 3-2 overall, while Liberty falls to 0-4.

Galeton 5, Wellsboro 2

The Tigers remained undefeated in boys' tennis action Friday as they topped Wellsboro 5-2.

It wasn't easy, though, as Galeton's second singles win went to three sets while the third singles match was also close.

In first singles Wellsboro's Aarron Dillman rallied past Jordan Dugan 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 while at second singles Galeton's Dan Hatch rallied past Garrett Carr 4-6, 6-0, 6-1.

At third singles Galeton's Dakota Shadle held off Wellsboro's Spencer Kreisler 6-2, 7-5 followed by Galeton's Tyler Dugan winning at fourth singles 6-0, 6-0 over Josh Cooper and Tiger John Parsell beating Tyler Kennedy 6-1, 6-0 at fifth singles.

At first doubles Wellsboro's duo of Dillman and Carr won 3-2 over Dugan and Dugan while in second singles Galeton's duo of Hatch and Shadle beat Kreisler and Cooper 6-2, 6-2.

Galeton improves to 4-0 while Wellsboro falls to 3-2.
