Cowanesque Valley improved to 8-1 as they swept Addison in boys' tennis action Tuesday.

The Indians won the first match 5-0 and the second 4-0.

In the first match Brian Fulmer defeated Chris Stiles 6-0, 6-1 at first singles, Cameron Lewis beat Zach Clark 6-0, 6-1 at second singles and Skyler Schmidt won over Tyler Housel 6-2, 6-1 at third singles.

At first doubles Jamie Colvin and Nathan Pickering defeated Liz Housel and Tim Myers 6-1, 6-0 while at second doubles Adam Brooks and Noah Neal held on to win over Matt Strauss and Jesse Plumley 7-6 (7-4), 4-6, 7-6 (7-3) to complete the sweep.

In the second match Fulmer beat Stiles 6-3, 6-1 at first singles, Schmidt won over Clark 6-0, 6-0 at second singles and Pickering picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win over Tyler Housel at third singles.

In the doubles match Colvin and Pickering beat Liz Housel and Myers 6-0, 6-1.

The Indians will face Williamson today.

Towanda 3, South Williamsport 2

The Knights defeated South for the second time in a week in non-league boys' tennis action Tuesday.

At first singles Towanda's David Rodenhizer held off Christian Cioffi 7-5, 3-6, 6-2 while at second singles South's Logan Wein beat Kevin Blackman 6-1, 6-0.

Towanda's Christian Thomason edged Eric Reaser 6-1, 6-7, 10-8 in third singles to give the Knights a 2-1 edge going into the doubles matches.

The Knights then sealed the match with a win at first doubles as Dawson Wright and Logan Spencer beat McGwire Molino and Travis Wagner 6-4, 6-3.

South won the second doubles match as Mason McClain and Dylan Beach won over Anthony Vogel and Matt McNeal 6-3, 6-3.
