District 15 picked up a 10-6 win over Connecticut in Big League Regional softball action Friday.

On Thursday they lost their opener 13-9 to New Jersey 3.

On Friday Courtney Coleman was the winning pitcher while Christin Dunkling earned the save.

At the plate Bethany Manley had two hits and two runs while Katelyn Serfass and Christin Dunkling each had doubles and scored a run. Serfass also added an RBI.

Arielle Kneller, Cierra Holland, Mackenzie Hafer and Savannah Schools also had hits. Kneller, Hafer and Schools scored while Schools, Hafer and Holland drove in a run each.

Jensen Dunkling scored a run in the game as well.

On Thursday Serfass earned the loss.

District 15 led early but a 7-run second by NJ3 put them up. D15 cut it to 10-9 but couldn't get over the hump.

Kneller had four hits, 2-RBI and a run scored while Manley, Hafer and Christin Dunkling had two hits each. Hafer added three runs, Christin Dunkling had 2-RBI and Manley also scored.

Serfass had a hit in the game while Jensen Dunkling and Coleman each scored twice. Jensen Dunkling added an RBI as well.

"Our bats have been really talking down here in Maryland," Assistant coach Duane Hafer remarked.

District 15 will take on Maryland and New Jersey 7 in a double header today.
