Sullivan County fell to Bloomsburg 7-1 in Heartland Conference baseball action Saturday.

The Panthers jumped out early, taking a 2-0 lead after the first inning and a 3-0 lead after the third.

Sullivan got on the scoreboard in the fourth to cut it to 3-1 but Bloomsburg scored in the bottom half of the inning to extend the lead to 4-1.

The added three more runs in the sixth to secure the win.

Lucas Hatton, Tom Blasi and Colton Frye had the three Sullivan hits with Blasi's a double. Frye had the RBI.

Zach Meyer went the distance for the loss. He struck out five while allowing three walks, nine hits and five earned runs.

John Klingerman went 2-for-3 to lead the Panthers.

Sullivan will travel to St. John Neumann next Wednesday.
