Olivia Lopes won the 60m and 200m dashes at the Bison Invite hosted by Bucknell University while Jenna Hoefer took first in the weight throw at the SUNY Cortland Invite to highlight a successful day for the Mansfield University men's and women's track teams.

Lopes qualified for finals in the 60m dash by turning in the fastest preliminary time in the field at 7.94. The sophomore followed that performance by winning the 60m finals while setting a school record time of 7.83.

Lopes, who qualified for the 200m finals with a 25.90 on Friday, bested her previous time and won the event with a time of 25.68 on Saturday.

Jenna Hoefer bested the field in Cortland with a winning distance of 43-05.75. The junior's best mark came on her second throw of the day.

Junior Savannah Boucher placed second in the 1,000m meter event with her time of 3:10.65. On the men's side, Jesse Jones took fourth in the 1,000m at 2:35.98 while Will Mullen was seventh at 2:37.23.

Sophomore Bob McCoy turned in a fourth place finish in the 500m run with his time of 1:07.70. McCoy also took sixth in the 800m at 51.04.

Freshman Allison Macon was fifth in the 500m run at 1:22.32.

After earning a trip to the 200m dash finals on Friday, Jeysonlee Jones finished eighth overall in the event with his mark of 23.22 on Saturday.

Mansfield travels to Painesville, Ohio on Friday, Feb. 1 for the Division II Challenge.
