Johnson scores 39 to lead Wyalusing to win

Aaron Johnson netted a game-high 39 points to lead the Wyalusing Rams to a 69-53 win over Cowanesque Valley Monday night.

Following Johnson in scoring for the Rams were Jeremy Allyn with 14, Cody Pickett with 10, Kye Novak with four and Domenic Ciccolini with two.

Johnson also paced the Rams on the boards with 12 while Allyn added seven, Cody Pickett had five, Ciccolini had four, Anthony Benninger added two and Jonah Shotwell and Novak each had one.

Novak dished out seven assists to lead the Rams while Allyn had four, Cody Pickett, Johnson, Shotwell and Mitchell Pickett each had two and Benninger and Ciccolini each had one.

Cody Pickett had the Rams lone blocked shot of the night while Novak led the team with three steals. Cody Pickett, Johnson and Mitchell Pickett each had two steals while Shotwell and Ciccolini each added one.

Gavin Howe paced the Indians in scoring with 15 followed by Mitchell Dent with 10, Landon Pierce with nine, Allen Wood with eight, Luke Plummer with four, Josh Nudd with three and Brandon Whitesell and Justin Post with two each.

Howe led the Indians with four assists while Whitesell added three, Pierce, Nudd, Dent and Wood all had two and Plummer added one.

Dent pulled down six rebounds to lead the Indians on the boards while Pierce and Howe had five, Wood added four, Post had three and Whitesell and Nudd each had two.

Dent and Whitesell led the Indians with three steals on the night while Nudd had two and Post, Wood and Pierce all had one.

Cowanesque Valley won the JV game 39-22 as Jake Minturn led the Rams with six points in the loss.

The Rams travel to Wellsboro on Wednesday.

Sayre 71, North Penn 63

The Redskins led by 20 in the third, and held off a Panthers rally as North Penn scored 27 fourth-quarter points to get within six at one point.

Nate Williams led Sayre with 27 points and Trey Hildebrandt, Alex Lyons and Riley Card all finished with 10 points in the game.

Jared Donovan had five points for Sayre and Tyler Williams had four points, while John Shaw added three points and Brad Felt had two points.

Jason DeHaven led North Penn with 21 and Dan Proughty had 17, while Jimmy Price finished with 11 points.

Kaynan Arendondo had seven points and eight rebounds and Brad Brubaker had four points, while Colin Craig added three points and Ryan Martin finished with one point.

Proughty finished with five steals in the game for the Panthers.

North Penn won the JV game.

North Penn hosts Williamson on Wednesday.

Williamson 60, Troy 50

The Warriors got 20 points and 15 rebounds from Ryan Bidlack and Derek Vargeson had 18 points in the victory.

Williamson built a 35-22 lead at the half on their way to the win.

Trevor Adriance had 10 points for Williamson and Shea Daley had six points, while Devon Smith had four points and Drew Fish finished with two points.

Evan Polly led Troy with 22 points and Jed Wright had 14 points, while Zach Root finished with nine points and Brandon Mattocks had five.

Williamson won the JV game 51-19 with Kyle Haight leading the Warriors with 19.

Williamson is at North Penn on Wednesday.

Canton 76, Liberty 39

The Warriors got 22 points from Eddie Larcom and 13 each from Emmett Watson and Ryan Ball in the victory on Monday.

Wes Moore finished with nine points for Canton and Josiah Bardo had six points, while Jesse Lattimer added five points and Tim Bassett and Chris Doren finished with four points each.

Liberty was led by Jacob Spring with 15 points and Cody Fritz with 11 points. Tyler Upham had five points in the game and Cody Schmouder finished with four points, while Brian Hyde had three points and Eric Kreger finished with one point.

Canton won the JV game 55-38.

Mansfield 68, NEB 34

The Tigers got a career-high 25 points from Taylor Hillson and he added 10 rebounds for a double-double to lead them to the win.

Hillson also had three assists and two steals in the game and Marquis Delgado had 14 points, five assists, four boards and two steals, while Reece Correll finished with 11 points in the game.

Alec Simpson had five points for Mansfield and Dallas Dziuba finished with four points, while Ryan Campbell, Justin Berkowitz and Beau Burleigh added two points each.

Brady Andrews had one point for Mansfield in the game.

Northeast Bradford got 16 from Todd Bonin and Jake Hottle and Shawn Hakes each finished with six points. Davis Young had four points for the Panthers and Caleb Gerrity finished with two points.

Mansfield won the JV game 73-10 with Chandler Correll leading the Tigers with 16 points.

Mansfield is at Galeton on Wednesday.
