Knight swimmers fall to Bloomsburg
The Towanda boys and girls swim teams fell to Bloomsburg Tuesday.
"As a team we did not perform as well as I would have hoped," Towanda coach Mike Locke said. "But it was a good experience to go against the competition that we will see in three weeks at districts. That is what we have our sights on and it's there we want to do well and get great times."
The Lady Knights lost 88-65.
A Towanda team of Soleil Eagan, Meredith Corbett, Morgan Dreisch and Sarah Lamphere won the 400 free relay in 4:27.17. Lamphere also won the 200 IM in 2:32.63 with Eagan third.
Destiny Foster also brought home a win over the Knights, taking the 500 free in 7:22.14 with teammate Ruth Conklin second.
Dreisch took second in the 200 free and the 100 fly, Lamphere had a second place finish in the 100 backstroke and Carolyn Black took second in the 100 breaststroke.
Taking third places were Conklin in the 200 free, Corbett in the 50 free, Eagan in the 100 fly and Corbett in the 100 free.
The Towanda boys lost 132-48.
Taking second was Kody Brown in the 50 free, Christian Basse in the 500 free and Trevor Standish in the 100 backstroke.
Taking third places was Brown in the 100 free, Dan Corbett in the 500 free and Derek Cole in the 100 breaststroke.
Towanda will be at the NTL Invitational this Thursday at Sayre.
