Aurielle Mosley and Mashira Newman scored 14 points apiece as Millersville came away with a 75-49 victory over the Mountaineers Saturday afternoon at Pucillo Gymnasium.

Mansfield (4-14, 2-13 PSAC) was led by Jena Matter who scored 11 points and pulled down four boards. Shaleta Heyward hit three treys in the second half to score nine points in the contest while Kayla Espigh netted seven points.

Mansfield held a 39-38 rebounding advantage in the contest. The Mountaineer's 33 turnovers were the most since the season-opener at Lock Haven.

Millersville (12-5, 9-5 PSAC) jumped out to a six-point lead over the first two minutes of the game before climbing to a nine-point advantage with just over 10 minutes to play in the half. The Marauders led by 17 points with five minutes remaining in the half, but Mansfield used an 11-4 run to close their deficit to just 10 points at halftime.

Espigh opened the second half by draining a trey on the Mountie's opening possession, but Millersville scored 15 unanswered points to hold a 22-point advantage with under 15 minutes remaining in the game.

Mansfield was unable to chip away at the Marauders lead as Millersville came away with the eastern division win.

The Mounties host West Chester at Decker Gymnasium on Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. tip.
