Projected pitchers: Chelsea Souto, Courtney Coleman, MaKenzi Moore

Thoughts on this year's team: This year's team has the potential to once again compete very well in the league along with District IV and compete for a berth in the state tournament.

Thoughts on the league this season: As usual the league has a number of very good teams who will compete for the league title and post season honors.

Sullivan County Griffins

Head coach: Brian Heisman

Assistant coaches: Bill Stabryla, (volunteer coaches) Bob Heisman, Tina Saxe, Dick Jordan, Randi Dickinson

Record last season: 2-18-0

Returning players: Brianna Baumunk , Alyssa Blasi, Crystal Calaman, Addie Jordan, Alexis Kiess, Sadie Lewis, Shelby Zeller, Emily McMahon, Shawna Chamberlin, Jackie Bahr, Alyssa Saylor

Newcomers: Mackenzie Doyle, Noelle Henninger, Courtney Leahy, Kayla Magargle, Torie Shultz, Courtney Smith

Projected pitcher(s): Alyssa Blasi, Alexis Kiess, Crystal Calaman

Thoughts on this year's team: We are all excited to start this season as long as the weather starts to cooperate. The motivation and dedication of this year's team is the highest it has ever been. Alyssa Blasi started to pitch last season about half way through and due to her pitching we were able to pull two wins off towards the end of the season. We only lost one senior and our starters have plenty of experience. We did have a few changes that occurred preseason, injuries and life changes, which had us on the hunt for first and catcher. With two up and coming freshman, we feel pretty comfortable in their abilities.

Thoughts on the league this season: Not a whole lot has changed in players and teams, with the exception of Southern Columbia moving to Division 2 in the PHAC. This has opened up other games for us that we added to our schedule this year. For the first time in a long time we will be facing Sayre twice as well as Liberty. All of our schools are similar in size and ability, so they should make for a very competitive game. Millville also joined the ranks of the Mid-Penn.

Cowanesque Valley Indians

Head coach: Karl Schauer

Assistant coaches: Shawn Ianson

Returning players: Shanelle Ianson (11, Pitcher, 1st Baseman), Courtney Schauer (11, Centerfield), Becky Plummer (10, Shortstop), Whitney Earl (10, 3rd Base, 2nd Base), Julie Brubaker (11, DH, 3rd Base), Jessi Prutsman (10, DH, 1st Base)

Newcomers: There will be several position changes to manage this season though there are a few under classman whom we look forward to stepping up and filling positions. Freshman Kayla Schauer will take a large role as catcher or second baseman. Also, Freshman Maddy Hatch will likely play a large role on our varsity squad.

Pitchers: Junior Shanelle Ianson will once again carry the Load on the Pitching mound. Junior Courtney Schauer and Sophomore Taylor Hager are also experienced pitchers whom will see time on the mound.

Thoughts on this year's team: Cowanesque Valley has no seniors on this year's roster. A great core of juniors will lead our team this season with support from several experienced sophomores. The team is very young this season but we have high expectations. The majority of this group of girls has played together as a team since they were all eight or nine years of age. They understand their roles and have confidence in themselves and each other. There are no "cliques" or animosity amongst players. We finished last season at the .500 mark and feel confident we can improve on that record this season.

Thoughts on the league this season: The NTL will be tough to stay ahead in because of competing against mostly larger schools. We embrace the competition though. This group of girls is confident. They have competed at a high level of competition for several years now and know what it takes to win tough games and tournaments.

Notre Dame Crusaders

Head coach: Steve Weber

Assistant coaches: Bruce McMail, Brad Clark

Record last season: 19-3

Returning players: Olivia May, (Sr. P), Alivia Clark, (9th, SS), Mackenzie Maloney, (8th, 3B)

Newcomers: Eight new players on this years team, positions have yet to be determined

Projected pitcher(s): 1- Olivia May, 2-Alivia Clark

Thoughts on this year's team: A very young team. We graduated nine seniors from last year including seven starters. We have two seventh graders, two eighth graders, and a freshman. May is the only senior. Including those gone are catcher Sydney Dimon who was second team All-American, and All-Leaguers Becca Saggiomo, Emily Lepkowski, Detta Gublo,Mckaleigh Miller, and Sammy Erbach. Eight of the nine positions will be different, but much too early to determine where players will be until we can get outside.

Athens Wildcats

Head coach: Rich Decatur

Assistant coaches: Maryellen Onofre

Record last season: 13-9

Returning players: Christin Dunkling, Katelyn Serfass, Searah Kennedy, Mackenzie Hafer, Haley Priester, Mackenzie Warner, Chandrica Dimon, Miranda Peterson, Jensen Dunkling

Newcomers: We had a great turnout for the season, some of the names-Sarah Munn, Hannah Reid, Taylor McDuffee, Morgan Westbrook, Kassandra Winters,

Projected pitcher(s): Katelyn Serfass, Christin Dunkling, Miranda Peterson, Chandrica Dimon, Kassandra Winters, Hannah Reid

Thoughts on this year's team: We lost two key players last year but we are still young. We have only three returning seniors and the freshmen girls show great spirit and enthusiasm. I believe as always if the girls come to play there will be no stopping them. They have all been practicing hard and have great attitudes, they expect perfection.

Thoughts on the league this season: The NTL as always will be very tough. There is not one school that I consider to be easy and all games should be close. The winner will be the team with the fewest mistakes.

Projected pitchers: Madison York, Katie Carrigan, Mariah Berguson

Thoughts on this year's team: We want to improve on last year's record, contend for the NTL West and to qualify for districts.

Thoughts on the league this season: As always the league is one of the best in the state. In the West Wellsboro is the team to beat and the East, I would say, are Wyalusing and Athens.

Newcomers: Hanna Hitchcock, Angeles James, Kylene Robinson, Paige Wampole

Projected pitcher(s): Kristyn Tappan, Shelby Coolbaugh

Thoughts on this year's team: We are returning nine players so we should be better than last year. All my returning players got a lot of playing time so we are no longer a young team. I'm hoping some things click this year and we can compete in the NTL.

Thoughts on the league this season: The NTL is always strong.

Thoughts on this year's team: This team has potential to develop into a very strong group. I expect to contend for division, league and section titles by end of season.

Thoughts on the league this season: The league is quickly developing into one of the best small school leagues in the state, there is a great deal of parity within the league and should result in great games night in and night out.

Projected pitchers: Kara Schucker, Bethany Manley, Jerilyn Ross, Brooke Mattocks, Taylor Johnston

Thoughts on this year's team: We have a nucleus of returning players with experience that should provide stability and leadership for the team. We look to be solid defensively having depth at most positions and good team speed. If we can achieve a level of consistency with our hitting and pitching, this team could be very competitive. We have a number of athletic girls who have been working hard to prepare for the upcoming season. Our goal will be to keep improving as the season progresses both individually and as a team.

Thoughts on the league this season: We are back playing in the very competitive NTL East division this season after one year in the West. We know the NTL East and West has many quality teams so we'll need to be ready to play every NTL game. I believe most of the teams in the East can be competing for the NTL East league title this year which should make for an exciting year.
