Mansfield University totaled 59 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athletes during the 2012-13 academic year according to data distributed by the conference office. 30% of Mountaineer student-athletes garnered Scholar-Athlete status which ranks among the top 10 in the conference.

The 16 institutions of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference have combined to set a new record of 2,200 scholar athletes during the 2012-13 academic year, breaking the previous mark of 2,187 set a year ago.

In order to earn scholar-athlete recognition, a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or above. The 2,200 total represents 35% of the reported 6,307 student-athletes participating in the conference, the same percentage as a year ago and the fifth straight year the league has registered at least 30%.
