The Mansfield University Foundation has a limited amount of tickets remaining for MU alumni and friends in its suite at PNC Park for the game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Detroit Tigers on Thursday, May 30.

"It's going to be a terrific night and a great chance to meet alums Tom Brookens and new president Fran Hendricks," said executive director Mindy Engel. "We're excited to offer this unique opportunity to our alumni and friends, but urge you to act quickly because tickets are limited."

Former Mountaineer baseball standout and current third base coach for the Tigers, Tom Brookens, will hold a meet and greet with the Mansfield group prior to the game. It will also be the first official travel function for new Mansfield president Fran Hendricks, a 1979 Mansfield University graduate.

In addition to seats in the 1971 Suite, attendees at the Mansfield University Foundation Night at PNC Park also include dinner in the suite, an official Pirates baseball cap and commemorative MU T-shirt.

The activities, including the pregame meet and greet with Tom Brookens, start at 5:30 p.m. with the first pitch schedule for 7:05 p.m.

Tickets, which include admission to the game in the club level - a $57 value alone - along with dinner, an official Pirates baseball cap and commemorative MU T-shirt along with the meet and greet with Tom Brookens are $100 each and are available by contacting Annie Brooks at or by phone at (570) 662-4294.
