Swoyersville's two pitchers held Mansfield/Wellsboro to one hit as they picked up a 10-1 win in Region 5 Legion baseball action Sunday.

Swoyersville scored in five of the nine innings while MW's run came in the bottom of the eighth.

Matt Reese had their lone hit and scored the run.

Dan Saniga started and went into the third inning with two strikeouts while allowing five hits, four earned runs and one walk. Reese came on for two innings with three strikeouts, five hits, two walks and three earned runs. Bryce Zaparzynski finished up the final five innings with two strikeouts, four hits, three walks and one earned run.

Chris Nixon started for Swoyersville and went six hitless innings with four walks and seven strikeouts. Frank Brodi finished up with one strikeout and two walks.

Mansfield/Wellsboro will take on South Scranton at 9:30 a.m. at Hanover High School today.
