A starter last year at point guard for Division-I Villanova, Sayre's Kyle Dougherty, an Owego Free Academy graduate, was in the starting lineup when this season began as well.
Just a few games into the year Dougherty has found herself coming off the bench, but the new role has also meant added minutes and has caused Dougherty to have three of the best games of her collegiate career.

She followed that up with another nine-point effort, with two steals and four assists in 30 minutes against Evansville. In her most recent game Dougherty had four points, five boards, two assists, a steal and a block against Chattanooga.
