Mansfield University head baseball coach Harry Hillson has announced the full schedule for the upcoming 2014 baseball season.

Entering his 28th season at the helm of the Mountaineers, Hillson is the 13th winningest coach amongst active Division II head coaches and is the second winningest baseball coach all-time in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).

Mansfield opens the season Feb. 22 in Colonial Heights, Va. by taking on St. Rose of the Northeast-10 Conference. The Golden Knights feature a pair of familiar faces in third year head coach and former Mountaineer assistant coach Chris Francis along with former standout Mike Hartz who played third base for Mansfield from 2008-11.

The Mountaineers face off against Wilmington of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) later that day before facing off against PSAC western division rival Mercyhurst at the Dinwiddie Sports Complex on Feb. 23.

Mansfield makes a weekend trip to Raleigh, N.C. to take on 2013 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) regular season runner-up St. Augustine's on March 1 and 2.

The Mounties open their 2014 spring break trip in Clearwater, Fla. against a pair of Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) opponents in Kentucky Wesleyan and Ohio Valley on March 13 and 14. Mansfield plays the first of five games at Jack Russell Stadium, the former spring training home of the Philadelphia Phillies, when it takes on Hillsdale College of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) on March 15 then Nichols College of the Commonwealth Coast Conference on March 16 in Port Chorlotte, Fla.

Mansfield takes on PSAC West foe Slippery Rock for a St. Patrick's Day doubleheader at Jack Russell Stadium on March 17 followed by a single game against the Rock the following day. The Mountaineers wrap up their Florida trip with a non-divisional game against PSAC East member Lock Haven on March 19.

The 28-game PSAC East slate opens up with a doubleheader at Shippensburg's Fairchild Field on March 21 with the Mountaineer's home opener coming against Ship the following day at Shaute Field.

Non-conference games in 2014 include Penn Tech (March 25) and Lincoln (March 26) with the Mounties playing PSAC crossover contests against IUP (April 6), Slippery Rock (April 8) and Clarion (April 22).
