Caitlin Klobosits earned Pitcher of the Week distinction while Kate Pratt, a Troy graduate, took home Player of the Week honors as the Mountaineer duo swept the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Central division awards.

It marks the second time this season that both Klobosits and Pratt have earned weekly honors.

Klobosits continued to show her dominance in the circle by picking up a pair of shutout wins over Mercyhurst and divisional foe IUP this week. The senior struck out eight batters in a complete-game shutout over IUP on Thursday before tossing 4.0 shutout innings against Mercyhurst.

Klobosits currently holds a 9-3 record overall in the season with a team-best 1.35 ERA.

Pratt was a force to be reckoned with this past week, batting .714 over a four game span to lead Mansfield to a 3-1 week. The junior collected 10 hits in 14 at bats while recording six runs and six RBIs. She became the Mansfield career home run leader in game two against Mercyhurst with a three-run blast to end the game. Pratt now has 24 career round-trippers and her nine homers this year is just one shy of tying the single-season record which she set last season.

Pratt was also impressive on the mound this week, throwing a complete-game three hitter with no earned runs and 10 Ks in a 2-1 loss against IUP. On Saturday, she threw a complete game with no earned runs as the Mountaineers cruised to an 11-1 win over Mercyhurst.

Mansfield travels to Lock Haven on Tuesday before hosting Bloomsburg at Lutes Field on Friday in a pair of crucial PSAC Central tilts.
