Junior Savannah Boucher highlighted a day of strong performances for the Mansfield University men's and women's track and field teams at the Millersville Metrics Saturday.

Boucher finished first in the 1500 meters with a winning time of 4:47.71, just over three seconds faster than teammate Jess Scordino who was second with a time of 4:50.81 in the 34 runner race. Both surpassed PSAC qualifying times.

Boucher also finished sixth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:25.96. Sophomore Olivia Lopes was second in the 200 with a PSAC qualifying time of 25.77 and fourth in the 400 meters with a PSAC qualifying time of 58.67.

North Penn graduate Jake Shedden highlighted an outstanding day for the men's team placing third in the 10000 meters with a PSAC qualifying time of 32:50.56. Yaw Boetang was fourth in the 100 meters with a conference qualifying time of 11.229.

Jordan Boothe was fourth in the 800 meters qualifying with a time of 1:58.65 while Michael Leiwant finished sixth in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 59.12. Latimere Campbell was third in the 200 meters with a conference qualifying time of 22.37.

The men's 4x800 relay team of Jesse Jones, Waverly graduate Will Mullen, Jake Portock and Alex Beard took fourth overall with a time of 8:22.25.

The Mountaineer men finished fifth overall in team scoring out of 22 teams with 51 points. The women were ninth out of 20 teams with 34 points.
