Mansfield University senior midfielder Kristyn Grunza has been selected to Longstreth/ NFHCA Division II 1st Team All-American honors for her outstanding play during the 2012 field hockey season. It marks the third straight season in which Grunza has garnered 1st team All-American accolades.

Grunza was the centerpiece of the Mountaineer offense where she distributed a team-high eight assists, which ranked sixth in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). She also led the Mounties and ranked third in the conference in total shots with 90 while putting 48 shots going on goal.

The senior was third on the team in goals scored with eight. Grunza recorded two-goal games against Southern Connecticut State and Mercyhurst and also notched the game-winning goal in the victory over Southern Connecticut State. She recorded 24 points on the year.

Grunza finishes her career ranking second in career points with 100, third in career assists with 24 and sixth in career goals with 38.
