Mansfield University standout Kate Pratt has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Central Division Softball Player of the Week for her outstanding performance during the week ending 3/17.

Pratt helped the Mountaineers to a 2-1 week while playing at the Salem Invitational Tournament in Salem, Va.

The sophomore earned the honor with play in the field, at the plate, and one the mound. During the three game span, Pratt batted .500 with four hits in eight at-bats including two home runs and four RBI's. She posted a 1.250 slugging percentage along with a .500 on base percentage and did not strikeout one during the week.

Pratt, who was perfect in the field on six chances, was also clutch on the mound tossing a five-hit complete game in a 4-2 win over Fairmont St.

For the season, Pratt leads the team in hitting with a .448 batting average and also tops the Mounties with four home runs and nine RBI over the first 10 games of the season.

Pratt has appeared in four games on the mound where she sports a 1-3 overall record. In 16.0 innings worked, Pratt has scattered 13 hits while striking out eight batters.
