Gannon scored three second half goals to beat a stubborn Mansfield team 3-0 in a PSAC contest Saturday afternoon.

Mansfield carried the action early in the game with senior Erika Moyer putting a shot on goal two minutes into the game and junior Jessica Kerwin getting a shot on the new two minutes later. But attempts were stopped by Gannon's Maggie Brinkman.

Redshirt freshman Alexis Getty had a shot on goal in the 24th minute while Moyer had another chance three minutes later as the Mountaineers outshot Gannon 10-6 in the first half.

But the second half would be all Gannon starting with a goal by Michelle Genetin three minutes into the second. Justine Rodrigues added another goal off a free kick in the 59th minute with freshman Mani Brueckner scoring the game's final goal in the 64th minute.

The Mansfield defense played well in the first half not allowing Gannon a shot on goal for the first 45 minutes of the game.

Gannon, which improved to 7-1-0 overall and 4-1-0 in PSAC play has pitched a shutout in seven of its first game played thus far on the season.
