Senior Mallory Moore netted a career-high 29 points, but it wasn't enough as Mansfield (7-12, 4-11 PSAC) fell on the road 94-66 to PSAC East-leading West Chester (15-4, 11-4 PSAC) Wednesday night.

Moore, who became the second leading scorer in program history Saturday against Millersville, moved past Glenda Oswald (1989-93) for fifth in career rebounding Wednesday night with her seven boards. Currently, Moore sits at 1,422 career points and 742 career rebounds.

Upset minded Mansfield looked to give the Rams their second straight loss as they scored the first five points of the game. However, West Chester quickly gained the lead and built their advantage to double-digits over the next seven minutes.

The Mountaineers closed within 10 points of the Rams three different times, but West Chester went into the break leading by 16.

The Rams opened up the second half by going on an 18-4 run to lead by an insurmontable 30 points. Mansfield didn't have an answer to West Chester's explosive offense and fell with a final score of 94-66.

The Rams forced a total of 30 turnovers, the most since Mansfield had 35 turnovers against Edinboro in November. West Chester scored 39 points off of Mountie turnovers.

Sophomore Jena Matter was the only other Moutaineer to hit double-figures with her 11 points while adding five rebounds. Freshman Marrysa Moyer had a team-high eight boards.

Junior Ambreelinne Ortman led West Chester in scoring with 19 points on the night.

Mansfield is back in action on Saturday, February 4 when the Mounties travel to Shippensburg University.
