WYSOX - Northeast Bradford stayed undefeated Wednesday, but it wasn't easy.

With one out in the bottom of the seventh Towanda had bases loaded but Panther pitcher Chelsie Souto was able to get Knights Michelle Aronson and Alaina Wickwire to pop to seal the 5-2 NTL East softball win Wednesday.

Nicki Emick was 3-for-3 to lead the Panthers at the plate while Calla Martin went 2-for-3 with a double and home run plus 3-RBI. Maddy Johnson went 2-for-3 as well with a double, triple and two runs scored.

Aubri Mosier and MaKaylah Holbert had the other two Northeast Bradford hits while Mosier and Kelsey Goodwin scored the runs.

Souto earned the win, allowing six hits and no walks while striking out six.

Koryn Wickwire and Aronson both went 2-for-4 to lead the Knights with Wickwire belting a home run. Wickwire also had 2-RBI.

Laci Manning and Dallas Mosier had the other two hits, with Mosier's a double. Mosier also scored the second Towanda run.

In the circle Alaina Wickwire scored the loss, allowing nine hits and one walk while striking out three.

The Knights welcome Wyalusing Friday.

Wyalusing 10, Canton 0, 5 innings

WYALUSING - Emily Faulkner pitched a no-hitter to give the Rams an NTL East softball victory Wednesday.

"She's doing a really good job keeping the ball down and hitting her spots," Wyalusing coach Jack Loomis said. "I'm really proud of that kid, she's really doing a great job for us."

Faulkner allowed just one walk while striking out six in the win.

Arielle Kneller and Cathryn Pugh both went 2-for-3 to lead the Rams with two runs scored while Pugh added 3-RBI.

Ally DeVoir and Crystal Shirk each had doubles while Shirk scored a run. Kasey DeVoir, Laci Holdren and Cierra Holland also had hits.

Kasey DeVoir and Laci Holdren scored twice while Lauren Chadwick and Shirt crossed home once.

Chelsey Heatley scored the loss for Canton, allowing two walks while striking out one.

"The kids are playing good," Loomis remarked. "Cathryn Pugh is starting to knock a few runs in for us. I think tonight we qualified for the playoffs, that was our number one goal."

Wyalusing travels to Towanda Friday.

Athens 8, Sayre 1

ATHENS - The Wildcats scored three in the third and two runs in each the first and sixth innings in the victory.

Mackenzie Hafer had a 3-for-3 day for Athens, with two RBI, and Jenn Wells had three hits and scored a run, while Jensen Dunklin and Christin Dunkling each had hits and RBI, with Jensen Dunkling scored two runs and Christin Dunkling scoring a run.

Alexa Daddona walked four times and scored two runs and Haley Priester and Mackenzie WArner each scored runs for Athens.

Daddona struck out six and allowed just two hits and one walk and one earned run in the game.

Kristyn Tappan struck out one and walked five in the game for Sayre.

Sayre hosts Canton on Friday and Athens is at Towanda today.

Wellsboro 12, Galeton 3

The Green Hornets scored eight runs in the fourth to blow the game open on Wednesday.

Brooke Kohler had three hits, with an RBI and a stolen base and Lauren Bleggi had two hits, with two stolen bases.

Paige Carr had two hits, a stolen base and an RBI and Hannah Zuchowski had two hits and an RBI.

Brittany Redell struck out six, walked two and hit one batter for Wellsboro.

Mataya McPherson struck out two and walked six on the mound for Galeton had she had two hits with a double.

Wellsboro hosts CV today.

Troy 5, CV 4

A three-run fourth inning put CV up 3-2, but Troy scored a run in every inning from the second to the sixth to get the victory.

Kayla Stephani had two hits, with a double and two RBI and Faith Ceely had two hits and scored two runs.

Cecilia Morse, Katie Jackson, Kelsey Bristol and Kelly Bridgham all had hits and Bristol scored two runs, while Morse scored a run and Bridgham and Taylor Johnston each had RBI.

Kara Schucker struck out two, walked one and allowed five hits in the victory.

Shanelle Ianson struck out two and walked two for CV in the game.

Ianson, Michaleia Mead, Mikayla Andrews, Kadi Vanorsdale and Whitney Earl all had hits for CV.

Ianson, Andrews, Mead and Courtney Schauer scored runs for CV.

Troy is at Williamsport today.
