North Rome Christian ended the season with a two game winning streak after narrowly getting by Maranatha by a score of 48-45. Maranatha's Stan Weaver would attempt a last-second shot and watch as it rimmed in and out enabling the Eagles to escape with the win.

The win would let the Eagles finish in 9th place in a very competitive North Pocono Christian Tournament. The host Canaan would win the tournament for the second year in a row, beating Central Baptist in the final.

In the game against Maranatha, North Rome would hold a slim 15-13 edge after one period. Maranatha would fight back in the second and take the lead going into the break 27-24. The third frame would see both teams battle back and forth and fight hard for every basket.

Both squads settled for 10 points each in the quarter. The Eagles' Leland Loziere would score 8 of his 10 points in the fourth to help in eventually taking the lead. A great defensive stop by teammate Austin Helmuth in the closing minutes would help North Rome set up for the go-ahead basket.

Helmuth finished with his 12th double-double of the year scoring 16 points and grabbing 14 rebounds while also handing out four assists.

Loziere ended up with a double-double as well finishing with 10 points and 10 boards. Also for North Rome, Jared Palmer notched nine points and eight rebounds while Nick Stanton hit for nine points as well.

Rounding out the scoring for the Eagles was Dan Swartley with four points and five rebounds.

The Eagles finish the season with a 7-14 overall record and are looking forward already to next year as all the Eagles players were underclassmen.
