TOWANDA - Play began at the annual C&N Bank Tennis Tournament on Wednesday evening.

In avid men's 39-and-over doubles Larry Wentovich and Gary Baker beat Kevin Mosier and Tracey Bouse, 6-2, 6-4 and Dave VanDerlyke and Bob Cooper beat Van Laderer and Alan Takagki, 6-1, 7-5.

In men's open doubles Bruce and Brian Osborn beat Stan and Sam Gill, 6-0, 6-2 and in men's open singles Tom Capone beat Brian Fees, 6-3, 6-1.

In women's 39-and-over doubles Lou Taft and Kay Bertrand beat Alison Sims and Diane Seymour, 7-5, 6-0 and in men's 18-and-over weekender singles James Rogers beat Bill Fulkerson, 6-1, 6-0.
