TOWANDA - Play continued Thursday during day two of the C&N Bank Tennis Tournament.

In avid men's open singles play Sam Gill beat Nate Powers, 6-2, 6-2. In men's open doubles Bill Hollenback and Joey Steele defeated Gary Baker and Alan Takagki, 6-3, 6-3.

In men's 39-and-over singles Van Laderer beat Tom Capone, 6-2, 5-7, 6-0 and in weekender men's 18-and-over singles Matt Lee beat Jim Osborn, 6-4, 6-3.

In avid mixed doubles Tom Patrician and Diane Seymour beat Kyle and Alison Sims, 3-1, retired and Jack Wentzel and Melinda Haggerty beat Brooks Eldredge-Martin and Kay Bertrand, 6-3, 6-3, while Charlie Crawford and Meredith Haggerty defeated Stan and Susan Gill, 6-2, 6-1.
