TOWANDA - Get your golf clubs ready, as registration is now open for the eighth annual Lyle Williams Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 3, at the Towanda Country Club (TCC). Proceeds benefit St. Agnes School in Towanda.

The tournament is in memoriam to the late Lyle Williams, a life member of the Professional Golfers' Association of America, who spent his career playing and teaching the game of golf. The tournament to date has raised over $50,000 for St. Agnes School.

Team play will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m., and will follow a Captain and Crew Scramble format. The cost is $75 per player, which includes cart, greens fees, continental breakfast, lunch and prizes. Non-golfing guests may attend the lunch for $20.

To register for the event, or to sponsor a hole for $100, please contact the school at (570) 265- 6803, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, or call Lynda Williams at (607) 737-3956.
