ATHENS - It was a big night for both Sayre and Athens Thursday.

Sayre's Rachel Hurley and Katherine Porter both earned their 100th career wins in the same event while the Wildcats took home both boys and girls team wins on senior night. The Lady 'Cats won 106-70 while the Athens' boys won 96-77.

Both Hurley and Porter earned their 100th win in the 200 free relay as the Redskins won in 1:53.26. Also on the team was Emily Schamel and Grace McClelland.

Both needed three wins to reach 100 coming into the meet.

Porter was happy to get to share the milestone with her teammate.

"It's cool that we were in sync with wins," Porter said.

Both swimmers enjoyed that the milestone came in the same event and they know that teammates like Schamel and McClelland helped them to achieve this milestone.

"I couldn't have done this without the support of everyone," Porter said. "Our teammates are all reallyl great."

GIRLS: Bloomsburg 119.5, Towanda 64.5

Towanda faced a tough Bloomsburg squad on Thursday.

Locke knows that his boys team was facing one of the best teams around.

"The outcome of tonight's meet was expected. They have just as much quality as they do quantity," he said. "Swimming a team like Bloomsburg reminds us how fast the district and state is."

For the girls Locke hopes they learned from the meet.

"We went down to Bloomsburg thinking we could make this a close meet, but we let too many opportunities and good races slip through our fingers," he said. "If a hard time is a good teacher then they learned a lot tonight."
