Last Saturday's Elyse Skerpon of Sayre set a new district record in the 300 hurdles.

Now that time of 44.55 has her with the top seed going into the Class AA, PIAA Girls Track and Field Championships.

She is right in front of the second seed, Carver E&S's Tehya Noell, by .01 seconds.

Skerpon is also the 14th seed in the 100 hurdles at 15.73. The top seed is Swenson Arts' Amy Hicks at 14.48.

Troy's Casey Norton owns the second seed in the 3200 at 11:06.97 just over three seconds behind top seed Elizabeth Chikotas of Saucon Valley in 11:03.67.

North Penn's Simone Lichty is the 17th seed in 11:50.91.

Wyalusing's Erika Huffman is the sixth seed at 5:09.55 in the 1600 while Elk County Catholic's Kennedy Weisner is the top seed at 4:55.78.

Wellsboro's Jada Jackson is the 10th seed in the triple jump at 35-feet, 8 1/2-inches. The top seed is Brookville's Lanae Newsome in 40-feet, 3 1/2-inches.

Jackson is also the 21st seed in the 400 at 59.95 with the top seed Swenson Arts' Tichina Rhodes in 55.38.

Towanda is the 13th seed in the 4x800 relay in 9:46.80. Holy Redeemer is the top seed at 9:27.45.

In Class AAA Athens' Laura Lockard is the 20th seed in the 400 at 58.66 and the 28th seed in the 200 at 26.88.

Penn Woods' Caela Williams is the top seed in the 400 at 55.24 while the top seed in the 200 Quakertown's Jody-Ann Evans in 24.28.
