SAYRE - The Sayre boys dropped a close 87-85 match to Danville on Thursday, while the girls fell 108-61.

Missing top swimmers Altan Frantz the Redskins led going into the final event where Danville won the 400 free relay in 3:45.15 to edge out Sayre for the victory.

In the 200 medley relay Sayre's Phillip Bennett, Josh Wolcott, Juan Velazquez and Mitchel Ward won in 1:59.61 and in the 200 free James Misner took third in 2:43.89.

In the 200 IM Vincent Cochi finished second in 3:15.39 and in the 50 free Wolcott won in 24.10, followed by teammates Ward (26.27) and Ryan Kipp (27.74).

In the diving Velazquez took third at 148.65 and in the 100 fly Bennett took second in 1:03.82.

In the 100 free Wolcott was second in 54.48 and Ward took third in 58.32 and in the 200 free relay Ward, Adam Moore, Bennett and Wolcott won in 1:42.37.

In the 100 back Bennett won in 1:09.83 and in the 100 breast Velazquez won in 1:19.54 with Andy Platt third in 1:26.92.

For the girls Sayre's Emily Schamel, Katherine Porter, Grace McClelland and Matthea Robbins won the 200 medley relay in 2:08.50.

In the 200 free McClelland won in 2:17.78 and in the 50 free Porter won in 26.70, followed by Robbins in 30.12.

In the 100 fly Porter won in 1:01.96 and in the 100 free McClelland won in 1:02.02.

Robbins was third in the 500 free in 7:04.77 and in the 200 free relay McClelland, Robbins, Schamel and Porter won in 1:57.02.

Schamel took second in the 100 back in 1:12.94.
