The high school basketball postseason is upon us and the brackets are out for the District 4 and Section IV playoffs.

For District 4 in Class AA the Towanda Black Knights are the third seed and they host No. 6 South Williamsport at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Wellsboro is the fifth seed and they are at No. 4 Lewisburg on Saturday at 1 p.m. and No. 7 Williamson is at No. 2 Loyalsock at 1 p.m. Saturday. The top seed is East Juniata and at 1 p.m. Saturday they host the winner of No. 8 Southern Columbia and No. 9 Mt. Carmel.

In Class AA girls, Mansfield is the two seed, NEB is the third seed and Sayre is the fourth seed and all three have home games this week.

No. 2 Mansfield hosts No. 7 East Juniata at 7 p.m. on Thursday and No. 3 Northeast Bradford hosts No. 6 Bucktail at 1 p.m. on Saturday, while No. 4 Sayre hosts No. 5 Neumann at 1 p.m. Saturday.

The top seed in Class A girls is Millville and they host No. 8 Lourdes at 1 p.m. Saturday.

For AA girls Wyalusing is the fourth seed and they host No. 5 Montoursville at 7 p.m. on Friday.

The other matchups at 7 p.m. on Friday are No. 1 Mt. Carmel hosting No. 8 South Williamsport and No. 2 Warrior Run hosting No. 7 Southern Columbia. No. 3 Muncy hosts No. 6 Central Columbia at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

The earliest District 4 games this week for area teams are in Class A where No. 7 Sayre hosts No. 10 Millville at 7 p.m. Tuesday and No. 9 Cowanesque Valley is at No. 8 Muncy at the same time.

The winner of the Sayre/Millville game is at No. 2 Galeton at 7 p.m. Friday and No. 5 North Penn is at No. 4 Mansfield at 7 p.m. on Friday.

The winner of the CV/Muncy game is at No. 1 Neumann at 7 p.m. on Friday.

No. 3 Sullivan County hosts the winner of No. 6 Meadowbrook Christian and No. 11 Lourdes. If Lourdes wins the game is on Friday at 7 p.m., if Meadowbrook wins the game is at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The Athens boys are the sixth seed in Class AAA boys and they are at No. 3 Danville at 7 p.m. on Friday.

In girls' AAA the Wildcats are the second seed and they have a bye. They face the winner of No.3 Mifflinburg and No. 6 Jersey Shore at a time, date and place to be determined.

In New York Section IV the Waverly girls and Notre Dame girls each host games on Wednesday.

In Class B Waverly is the third seed and they host No. 6 Chenango Valley at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The winner is either at No. 2 Norwich or hosts No. 7 Dryden at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

In Class C Notre Dame is seeded fourth and they hosts No. 13 Union Springs at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The winner hosts either No. 5 Unadilla Valley or No. 12 Greene at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

The Waverly boys are the seven seed and they are at No. 2 Oneonta on Tuesday at 7 p.m. if Waverly were to win they would be at either Susquehanna Valley or Dryden at 7 p.m. Friday.

Notre Dame is the top seed in Class C. They have an opening round bye and then Friday they host the winner of No. 8 Unatego and No. 9 Marathon.
