Shippensburg's Sarah Strybuc scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Lady Raiders past Mansfield 87-63 Saturday afternoon in PSAC East division play at Heiges Field House.

Strybuc punished the Mountaineers from deep as she hit five-of-seven attempts from beyond the arc while also pulling down eight boards. Stephanie Knauer recorded a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds in the winning effort.

Junior Jena Matter paced Mansfield (4-11, 2-9 PSAC) with 10 points, going four-of-six from the floor. Senior Kayla Espigh knocked down three treys on her way to nine points while sophomore Alyssa DeRichie added eight points, four boards, and four assists.

Seniors Emma Lacey and Julia Stevenson and sophomore Megan McSwain each netted seven points in the contest. Lacey had a team-high five rebounds and dished out three assists.

Mansfield shot just 37.7% (21-56) from the field and was outrebounded 48-36.

The Mounties held a lead in the first two minutes of the game, but Shippensburg used an 18-2 run over a six-minute span to lead 19-4. Mansfield chipped their deficit down to just 10 points with four minutes remaining in the half, but went into the break trailing 36-24.

Espigh opened the second half by draining back-to-back 3-pointers while Matter added a lay-up to close within four points of the Raiders. However, Shippensburg scored nine unanswered points to hold a 13-point advantage with just under 15 minutes to play in the game.

The Raiders proved to be too much for the Mounties as they came away with their 10th win of the season.

Mansfield hosts Bloomsburg Wednesday at Decker Gymnasium for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off.
