Cherie Walters placed sixth in the 200 breaststroke and Lindsey Gregg was seventh in the 200 butterfly to lead Mansfield University swimming in the final day of IUP's Pidgeon Invitational on Saturday.

Walters recorded a personal-best time in the 200-yard breaststroke prelims at 2:38.15 to move on to finals.

In the final heat, the freshman turned in a time of 2:38.58 to place sixth overall. Walters' prelim time was just under four seconds away from a PSAC qualifying mark.

Gregg qualified for finals in the 200-yard butterfly with her prelim time of 2:28.41. The senior bested her earlier time by nearly four seconds in finals to win her heat and take seventh at 2:24.57.

Amani Khabeer finished 11th at 2:24.15 and Sarah Estes was 12th at 2:25.47 in the 200-yard backstroke finals. Khabeer dropped almost nine seconds of her personal best while Estes trimmed exactly two seconds off her PR in preliminaries.

Katie McFadden tied for 14th at 57.40 and Anastasia Joswick was 16th at 57.92 in the 100-yard freestyle finals.

Mansfield travels to Lycoming on Monday, Nov. 19 for a dual meet.
