It was a strong day for area wrestlers at the Dandy Mini Mart JV Wrestling Tournament on Saturday.

Area wrestlers claimed the title at all but two weights during the tournament.

At 113 Tioga's Colin Benesh won with Towanda's Mike Alberico second and Tioga's Jason Spear third.

Towanda's Keegan Kisner won at 120, followed by Tioga's Dezmond Pope, Northeast Bradford's Dolen Ennis and Tioga's Ben Schweiger.

Troy's Jason Watkins won at 126, followed by Towanda's Dusty Crayton and NEB's Casey Ellis.

At 138 Towanda's D.J. Knolles won, followed by Tioga's Tyler Chilson and NEB's Blake Russell. NEB's Tyler Emick won at 145 with Towanda's Todd Koss second.

At 152 the Panthers' Don Michalkiewiez won with Towanda's Chris Askew second and at 160 Christian Thomason of Towanda was first and NEB's Alec Morris took fifth.

At 170 Troy's Wes Noble won and Towanda's Sam Hay was second. Towanda's Nick Pepper won at 182 followed by teammate Kalob Benjamin. NEB's Ryan Russell was fourth and teammate Cody Esterbrook was sixth.

At 195 Dalton Claupein of Towanda won and at 220 Logan Terry of Towanda won, while teammate Mitch Peters was second and NEB's Zach Darling took third.

Towanda's Justin Grimes won at 285.

Milton's Chris Page won at 106 and Tioga's Colin Schweiger was second, while NEB's Adam Russell took third and at 132 Nate Hampton of Hughesville won with Towanda's Paul Corron and Larry Nichols taking second and third.
