SVE defeated Tioga 2-0 in IAC field hockey action Tuesday.

At 1:47 left in the first half SVE's Gabbie Bower scored unassisted to put SVE up 1-0.

Then in the second half Kelsey Pierce made it 2-0 off a Bower helper with 8:57 left to secure the win.

"We came out flat and let Spencer take control of the game early," Tioga coach Heather Klossner said.

SVE out shot Tioga 6-0 and had more corners 8-1.

Tioga goalie Kirsten Douglas made four saves.

The Tigers travel to Marathon for their last regular season game on Thursday.
