Mansfield University's Quin Taylor earned Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern division Pitcher of the Week accolades after tossing a complete game shutout at Lock Haven University this past Tuesday.

The Mighty Quin went the distance in a nine-inning, two-hit performance at Lock Haven's Foundation Field to lead the Mountaineers to a 5-0 victory. Taylor allowed singles in the first and second innings before firing a no-hitter over the final seven innings of the game. The junior faced just 30 batters total, which is three shy of the minimum 27 batters in a nine inning game. Taylor struck out six batters while issuing only one walk in the contest.

He did all that in just 90 pitches.

Taylor picked up his third win of the season and lowered his ERA to 3.09, which is the fourth best on the Mountaineer pitching staff.

Mansfield hosts Clarion University at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, for a PSAC interdivisional match-up at Shaute Field.
